Terrilyn B. Brown is an accomplished educator, district literacy specialist, and instructional leader with more than two decades of dedicated service in public education.
Recognized for her strategic approach to curriculum alignment, coaching, and data-driven instruction (DDI), Terrilyn has partnered with district leadership, school administrators, and classroom teachers to accelerate student achievement, close opportunity gaps, and foster sustainable instructional growth. As a District Curriculum and K–6 Specialist in North Carolina's largest public school system, she designed and executed targeted action plans across diverse elementary learning communities — bridging district performance benchmarks and classroom-level instructional routines.
At the heart of her work is a firm belief that student excellence begins with empowered families and equipped educators. BEST exists to make those partnerships as strong as possible.
